Janome Memory Craft 10001 For sewing and embroidery, the Memory Craft 10001 has it all. Are you looking for legendary stitch quality, ease-of-use, and sewing power that’s both smooth and quiet? Maybe you also want beautifully precise embroidery, unlimited design size, and two-step conversion from sewing to embroidery without a bulky attachment. Perhaps your wish list also includes versatile on-board layout software, Touch Screen design and stitch editing and computer connectivity. If this sounds like you, then the MC10001 is the one for you. You have more ways to get embroidery designs in and out of the MC10001 than any other machine: ATA PC Card, USB port and RS232C port. There are dozens of beautiful embroidery design pre-programmed into the MC10001, from tiny Free Arm designs to giant Giga designs. Perfect since you get FOUR hoops standard: 2” x 2” Free Arm, 5” x 4.3” Standard, 5.5” x 7.9” Large and 9.1” x 7.9” Giga. Janome’s famous intuitive technology means that if you can point, drag and push a button, you can create beautiful embroidery layouts right on the large, color Touch Screen. Copy, paste and flip designs. Rotate in increments as small as one degree or in 45 degree jumps. Select from seven built-in fonts, 2-3 letter monograms and border designs. Specify your favorite thread; the MC10001 can convert the standard Janome thread colors into thread colors and numbers to match Robison-Anton, Madeira or Mettler. Your MC10001 even comes with easy-to-use software to create customized designs and layouts using your computer. The MC10001 takes sewing just as seriously as it does embroidery. You get the power and precision of Janome’s Superior Feed System. There are over 250 utility and decorative stitches and 11 one-step buttonholes. And, its customization features give ordinary sewing extraordinary results. Adjust stitch length and width, elongate, and combine. Then save your unique stitch patterns into one of the machine’s built-in memory banks or onto an ATA PC Card. Advanced Embroidery Made Easy When it comes to Professional-Style Embroidery, the Memory Craft 10001 stands apart. Its ease-of-use in creating and sewing designs is remarkable. And the quality of its embroidery stitching is unmatched by any other home machine. One reason is a more stable hoop mechanism, which makes precise stitches even near the edge of the hoop. This patented, built-in embroidery mechanism eliminates the need to attach a large, ungainly external embroidery unit. Just touch the Embroidery key, attach the embroidery foot, and you're ready to go. Adding to the MC10001's stitch quality is the patented Pre-Stitch Data Control System which anticipates embroidery speed changes and provides a gradual transition from one speed to another. Hoops Great And Small The MC10000 works with a variety of embroidery hoops, ranging from very small to very large. This is possible due to the new telescopic carriage arm that allows the embroidery hoop to travel a full 200mm forward or backward. Standard Hoops Medium at 4.3" x 4.3" (110mm X 110mm) Large at 5.5" x 7.9" (140mm X 200mm) Optional Hoops Huge: the Giga Hoop at 10" x 10" (200mm X 200mm) is the largest embroidery hoop ever on a Memory Craft Tiny: the first, true Free Arm Embroidery Hoop at just 2" x 2" is small enough to fit inside a shirtsleeve. Now you can embroider on cuffs, collars, pant legs (and other tight places) without having to take the garment apart. Beyond The Hoop With the MC10000, your designs aren't limited by hoop size. Because our exclusive Clothsetter 10000 allows exact design placement, you can make embroidered designs of virtually any size. No other brand of embroidery machine allows you do so with such confidence and precision.
Embroidery Software The MC10001 takes advantage of computer-aided embroidery better than any other home machine. Janome is releasing Customizer 10000 and Digitizer 10000 software designed specifically to take advantage of the MC10001's embroidery capabilities. However, you don't need a computer to do custom embroidery.
Built-In Editing Using the built-in Embroidery Edit function, you can Resize, Horizontal and Vertical flip, rotate, and combine designs. Plus you can bring in lettering from four different fonts. Select the hoop size then position your design by dragging it with your finger, or use the jog keys to move it into exact position. Save yourfinished design to one of the machine's memory banks or an ATA PC card.
The Touch Screen gives you a full-color preview of what your finished design will look like, including the option of trying out different combinations of thread and background colors.
